Discovering our world...

Our first Beach School session started this week. The children were so excited to travel on the minibus! We spent lots of time talking about staying safe and the children were a real credit to our Early Years family. The children knew beforehand that they would not be visiting the beach quite yet, as we needed to talk about and practise keeping safe.

Once back at school, the children were introduced to our new 'Beach Hut' and we decided that it needed a good clean before we can use it as our beach classroom. It was wonderful to hear all of the children's ideas of what they want to do at the beach next time we visit!

"That's massive."
"The sea is everywhere!"
"I am going to build a big, giant sandcastle."
"We need to write a list. I want to collect some sea glass."
"This doesn't look like a beach hut yet... but it will soon."

The PTFA coffee morning was a great success this week and it was lovely to see so many faces, both familiar and new to our Benedict Biscop family. We are looking forward to the events that they have planned this year. If you would like anymore information about the PTFA and how you can get involved, then please leave your email address at the school office and someone will get in touch with you!

Have a fantastic weekend, we can't wait to share your adventures on Monday in the children's;
 Me, My Family, My World books.
