This week, children have been discussing the PTFA’S Early
Years “coffee morning". The children started to become interested in making
various foods for the grown-ups to enjoy.
“I think we
need cakes”
The Children decided that they wanted to make chocolate crispy cakes for everybody involved within the event. They searched our
Kitchen for the perfect ingredients, but our kitchen stock didn’t meet their
requirements!
We’re gunna
have to go shopping!”
They planned a trip to Morrisons and spent the morning writing
a shopping list and drawing what the perfect cake would look like!
“I can’t
wait to get one of those little trollies”
"How many chocolate bars do we need?"
"Go for 5!"
"THERE IS SOME CHICKEN!!!"
"Who has the fastest trolly?"
Children were given the opportunity to further their Atelier
of Taste experience as they were given the chance to use all the ingredients
that they had purchased to create the most perfect chocolate cakes.
Within the Atelier of Taste, children were allowed
to taste strawberries and cherries and discussed the difference in flavours and
textures that they had never experienced before.
