Let the Adventure Begin…

It was great to welcome back our Early Years families after our summer break, the children were so excited to get back to what they do best at Benedict Biscop and PLAY!! We also welcomed our new Early Years families this week, our new Nursery and Reception children have enjoyed their first independent stay and have had so much fun!!

We are Powerful... 

Children have enjoyed spending time, within the "Exploration of Materials". Their thoughts and ideas have been provoked, through using paper and charcoal to create stories and allowing their imagination to run wild! 


We are Confident... 

We have been lucky enough to extend our outside provision, allowing the children to further their explorations by expanding their freedom and space within the outdoor area. Children had a particular interest in wanting to "fly", therefore, the children worked collectively to come to the conclusion that they wanted more swings. Together, they used rope, tyres and a wooden plank to create various swings in our garden. Children have been taking risks by having a go and challenging themselves. They have been encouraged to show resilience when they have found it tricky or even fell off... 

"Fall down twice,get back up three times"

We would like to say a huge thank you for those who joined us for our Beach School meeting during the week. We will be asking for parent volunteers to join us during our Beach Day mornings, every Tuesday to support the children on this wonderful opportunity. Please sign up on our initial interest sheet that we have placed in our EYFS entrance, if this is something you would like to get involved with.
