"Wow, it's erupting!"

Following on with the children's interests of volcanoes, Miss Jones and some children created a volcano using paper mâché.

"Can we make some lava?" Ethan I

The next day we introduced the children to bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. We encouraged the children to predict what they thought would happen when we mixed the two products together. The children finished their predictions and were so eager to begin the experiment.

"Can we put the vinegar in?" Amy

"I think it'll go massive." Ethan I

"Volcanoes are made when the earth pushes together and it can't go any further so it has to go up."
Amy

Dog's Trust!

This morning we had the pleasure of meeting Katie from Dog's trust. Katie joined us today to go through safety tips on how to stay safe around dogs.

The children enjoyed sharing their personal experiences and asking questions related to being safe around dogs.

Katie taught us three safety tips that we must remember when we come into contact with any breed of dog. The children were surprised when Katie explained that even cute little dogs can be dangerous, most children thought it was just big dogs that were aggressive.

Safety tips...

1. Stand still and be quiet when a stray dog approaches you.

2. Cross you arms over your neck and chest (X Factor arms)

3. Look up, away from the dog and avoid eye contact.

Children in Need 2018!
Today, we have had our 'spotacular' non uniform day in aid of Children in Need! We spent time in family group discussing the importance of such a worthy cause and reflected on those less fortunate than ourselves.

Take a look at our family group photos...
